Kenya Launches KSh 70 Billion Cement Manufacturing Investment in Kitui

President William Ruto launched a KSh 70 billion clinker and cement manufacturing plant in Ngaaie, Mwingi North, Kitui County, on 27 October 2026. The Devki Group project is expected to strengthen domestic cement and clinker production, reduce reliance on imports and create thousands of employment opportunities, including more than 3,000 direct jobs once operational.
